    Can't it be stopped!!

    The farting banner is so incredible stupid!
    A child at 4 - 6 years of age is used to have a period of making those sounds, but a sponsor?
    I do think the only solution is to avoid boobiebucks. If they publish a banner like that it can not be a sponsor to trust!

    I just entered GFY, the farting bagan and I got a telephone call...... Yes, I do have the right to have the sound on, and I have the right to read GFY without a farting sound all the time!!

      I always turn off the sound when I surf GFY. I hate the farting banner and it comes up all the time.

              I work in the media during the week. That banner has created more talkability than any other over the last few weeks. Everyone knows who the sponsor is.

              In TV / Radio the most annonying / worst tv commercials are almost always the most remembered. Thats why clients still like awful 80's jingles.

              People say they will boycott sponsors because of an ad, but most never do. At the end of the day it comes down to cash and what they offer. But you would never have started this thread and given them MORE publicity if it was just another banner ad....

                  This is the first thread I've seen where the company that the banner is about has been mentioned. I didn't even know who they were advertising, cause I refresh as soon as that thing comes up.

                  I wonder if the advertising is working for them at all. I can't see it, but stranger things have happened.

                                          No longer is it just a place to post messages.. now ya have slide shows, audio ads, yada yada..

                                          The audio should have never been implemented imo..
                                          Just something else to force us to make adjustments to the computer before we even enter gfy..

                                                  Im starting to think people are bitching to raise their post counts, it's always the 200 and 300's that keep on posting about it.

                                                  It would have been fixed by now, but with all the bitching I don't think GFY will ever change it. Besides, we are 4th graders and we dont know how.
