Battuss, if it's ICQ you are using, go to your ICQ folder, click Contact List you should have a .cab file with all your contacts under that UIN (with a date of the last list backup) - make a copy & back it up in another folder in case your contacts don't show up in a day or two & have to reinstall ICQ.Comment

Thanks i will check it out.Originally posted by TopBucksTrixxxia

Thank god I use Trillian.
Battus ya should look into that. Better more convenient and I never have ICQ problems.

It's a folder. I've had to rebuild my database a few times in the past so I have a few ICQ folders within my ICQ folder so I don't have the exact path but it should look something like this:
Program Files/ICQ/ICQ/Contact List/within this folder you should have files that are like this: 12345678 April 22, 2003, 23 56 15 - Auto Save.clb *and I stand corrected, they aren't .cab but .clb*
If you can't find that, do a search from your start menu for *.clb it should find the backups of your contact list under each UIN.Comment

Actually RicardoB, a few people were experiencing problems with Trillian/ICQ this weekend. Personally what I was experiencing with Trillian is that any new authorization request would show no info at all - so I couldn't know who I was authorizing, however it's back to normal today.Originally posted by RicardoB

Trillian is much better - but you're still depending on ICQ's databases to be up & running for your ICQ part to work well through Trillian.Comment

had the exact same problem as you 2 days ago.
I had no choice to uninstall ICQ and find a newer version.
All is well again but what a pain in the ass when ICQ is blank like that lol..
Dont forget to make a backup of your old icq db files just in case.
