    Anyone got any tips/hints etc... Had an account for over a year and finally decided to use it. Anyone making loot off of this shit?

                              using AdWords r u allowed to advertise with a reff code or are u allowed to only advertise your own company?????

                              Cuz using overture u can only advertise ur own company!

                                                                      Just set your daily maximum fairly low while you get better at optimizing your ad to get good CTR from people that might actually buy something.

                                                                          I am not one of these guys who loses money with PPC SE's, but I can't say i had much success with Ad Words.
                                                                          Sufficient CTR is one problem and getting the desired volume is the biggest problem.
                                                                          I don't use ICQ anymore.

                                                                                                          The volume isn't huge, but they convert.

                                                                                                              I started using Adwords in mid July. So far I have made $1200. I use http://inventory.overture.com/d/sear...ry/suggestion/ to see how many times people searched for stuff, and I use http://www.clickbank.com for things to sell. I haven't had much luck with adult material because others are willing to pay a lot more money per click than me! Once you find a good product and cheap keywords its all good. Oh and I got that google cash book which is pretty good for basics, but its also full of advertisements for other e-books (whick also have ads in them....it goes on and on). Adwords just takes a few hours to tinker with it and figure out what you are doing.

                                                                                                                  I know of some guys that say they spend upwards of $5,000 p/m and more than double their money. I haven't tried it much myself so I'm not sure how possible this is.

                                                                                                                      My adwords experience is slightly better than brewak even for adult....bit if you set up a decent page you will get bookmarkers who come back and join more than 1 sites.....last week i had a 1:1 ratio and my adwords was turned off for about 3 days....

                                                                                                                                                                                      With Adwords when you want to advertise an affiliate product/service, all you need to do is add "aff" at the end of your ad.

Just curious. It can be fun to look at Overture's bid tool for things like satellite/direct tv, etc... people are paying like $18 per click!
