He is right! I have been there, done that. She gets 50% of everything you have and there isn't a damn thing you can do about it. I don't know how much you are worth..but if buying her a place to do her thing would be less than 50% of what you are worth....get a lawyer..strike a deal....she gets a place and signs off on any claim to your assets. If you think owning the condo before you met her means you get to keep it...think again. I owned my home prior and he managed to get a court order forcing me to put my house on the market so he could get his 50% out even though I had kids and no place else to go...he even managed to have it so that there was a 30 day closing. My home sold about an hour after it was on the market..I had 30 days to find a new place to live and no money to do so.
