i don't do alot of music listening other than the radio. I have Winamp .... why does iTunes kick ass over Winamp?
I moved my sites to Vacares Hosting. I've saved money, my hair is thicker, lost some weight too! Thanks Sly!

        cause it is purty

honestly, as long as I can drop a song in and it plays, I am happy

winamp is simple enough for me, when I have to start cataloging and organizing it becomes to much of a chore

Yea - it definently kicks Winamps ass!

I've been fucking with it for the last few hours - it's a beautiful piece of software for those who enjoy listening to internet radio or MP3s. You can burn CDs of your MP3s and/or Rip your CDs (make MP3s from your CDs) - and it's free!

It's made by Apple ... for a PC - imagine that

                winamp was good until 3.0.
let's face it: winamp3.0 is a shitty software. opens movies reaaaly slow and eats a lot of resources.
also on 5.1 speakers winamp sucks big time, I'm using media player 9 for a decent audition.

iTunes is especially good for classifying and organising your mp3s. It's pretty good for making playlists too.

It has a couple of serious drawbacks:
                  1. It truncates the title of the song in many cases when you go to edit its details the first time.
                  2. It doesn't show what song is playing in its title bar or anywhere else logical. You really need to go and have a close look if you want to know what one is playing at the moment.

I've been using it for a couple of months (?) and it kicks Winamp's ass for sure.

                    Yea - it's really neatO

I just signed up and bought a couple of albums - downloaded them directly into iTunes and then burned some CDs for the car. Talk about fucking convenient? Good stuff for sure!

if you chage it to the mini player ctl-m it will change up like winamp does and does scroll the title.

It'd be handy if it also showed the title in the taskbar like Winamp.

Guess it might be more handy if you had a dock.
