I need your expertise & input!

I have 150,000 pics to file in folders.....in batches of 40.
Let's say the 0001-0001.jpg, 0001-0001_thumb.jpg, 0001-0002.jpg, 0001-0002_thumb.jpg and so on until 40 - then it switches to 0002-0001.jpg.....and continues.

I need all the 0001- to go in one folder & all the 0002- to go in another folder. Is there a program that will do this for me automatically without me moving the files around manually?
