I saw some cockroaches in my cupboard. I've never had themm before. What is your best way to kill them?

good luck, they are amazing creatures, can even survive nuclear radiation. Where there is one there are many especially if that was an adult female. Hope it was a german roach and not american, the german ones are small and do not fly like the american ones. Even if you do not leave food out they eat anything including wood, glue, clothing fibres etc etc. Just spray with an insecticide along the base boards and door and window openings and you will see them a lot less.even ADULTS need TOYS

That new injectable gell poision/food actually kills the fuckers before they can adapt. I went into all out war on them in one of our rentals.
1. Bomb with twice as many foggers (turn off piliot lights). Oh use various brands, not all same type.
2. Gell everything.
3. Borric acid all cupboards, under sink etc.
4. Re-bomb. Again various brands.

Ah the hazards of renting an apartment here ... Bleach works wonders (Domestos) 3 times a week, bleach everywhere and everything, little fuckers move for a while, then the bleach starts burning them and they "do a little dance" then flip on their back and die.SIG TOO BIG! Actually all roaches make a chitenous pouch called an egg sack, looks like a purse with spikes on the top for most of the roaches. (friend of mine keeps madagascan hissing roaches)
If you break it they die so stepping on them is fine as long as you step REAL hard and clean everything up and do not leave the sack in the trash sitting there to hatch by just throwing the mess away.
Yeah the strain with the common name American Cockroach do fly, they are pretty large and make a lot of noise when they are flying around.even ADULTS need TOYS

Have you guys ever seen "giant" cockroaches?? I mean like REAL giant ones? I saw one awhile ago and it was disgusting! It was HUGE, and I mean HUGE, I didn't know cockroaches could be so big... It was almost 2 inches long I think! And the worst is when they fly.... I screamed so loud the neighbours probably heard it and thought someone was getting attacked, I felt like I was in a freak show/horror movie. Those are disgusting! I used to have some, but it was my own fault because I always leave food out when eating.. I am lazy and just don't clean up right after I eat because I'm too busy on the computer and I always leave crumbs and dirty dishes all over and don't clean up until weeks, sometimes a month after...

apparently, (haven't tried yet) if you sprinkle baking soda on the floor it will get on their feet as they walk over it. They'll lick it off, then the baking soda reacts in it's digestive system and starts to expand. Because they are unable to burp or fart they simply explode - same as a bird with rice.

We live in a nice house in Palm Springs. Have an exterminater come spray inside and outside each and every month. Anyway, it's been over 110° for over a week now. The other night I saw a HUGE roach climbing up the wall. About 3 inches long and inch and a half wide. The fucker's head moved around seperate from it's body. Freaked me out. slammed it good with a shoe. Having the exterminater come again on Monday. Unfortuntely I had a model come the next day (Friday), so couldn't have him come then.
