if i link more than 1 hosted gallery a main page is that SE spamming? for example if i use all of the adultplatinum hosted galleries for a specific niche for a free site and link them all to the main page is this ok as far as SE goes?

SE spamming is usually having muiltiple domains all linked together targeting many keywords. Or building a false pagerank by spamming your sites in many blogs/message boards thay have high PR. Or creating a spider trap.
I would say what your describing is a FAR cry from se spamming.
