Here's an even better idea: Why don't the US taxpayers quit supporting Israel financialy and militarily and let the Arabs and the Jews figure it out for themselves. By supporting one side(Israel) they heve prolonged and exported this war (I believe 9/11 would not have happened if the US didn't support Israel).
They should have been allowed to settle it back in the 1960's without any assistance from outside forces.
