in xp hit start the run
the type cmd
press enter
type ipconfig/all
post your ip to the board(or the class c, u can X out the last .xxx if ur paranoid)
and ill do a trace to it from 3 different regions and do a packet loss report
and see if i can find anything else..

shoot.. its assigning internal ips.. that 10.xxx is a non routable internal ip.. to get the external class goto this and post the ip:
http://showmyip.com/
that will show the ip of the router or getway that they send all the hotel traffic through..

there is definetly a routing problem.. i tried 3 times and only got it to route 1 out of the 3...

Someone said the hotel only has a t1, are you kidding me? Just think....live webcams, people uploading clips etc. I'm suprised anyone can get online at all, much less complain about the speed.
I would imagine that a hotel with a conference center would have a fiber connection of some sort.Comment
