I echo the sentiments of my colleagues in the dating field, who've posted here. Clearing out fake and/or commercially motivated profiles is a constant, 24/7 undertaking. Given the kind of traffic that comes through the AFF members' area, you can imagine how attractive it is for scammers to try to get in and sell something. We did the math a few weeks back: from a traffic exposure standpoint, a female profile on AFF is about the same as having a fixed banner ad on a site with an Alexa of 30,000. Crazy, huh!
