You're damn right I bought a membership to gothic sluts just because there was a banner for it with a picture of her on her home page. It may have taken a few weeks of reading her blog but her gothic goodness was too good to pass up.
Now there's probably people like that who will go through a blog/camgirl crush a week. If they all have members areas(APART from their home page) they could seriously pull in some sales.
The DIY aspect attracts the surfers, the addiction pulls them in.

All this tells me is that pornblogs are a great add on to graphics content. every little bit helps. Now it just totally depends on how good your blog content is.

Blog surfers are usually losers who develop an unhealthy obsession with a female blogger.

Don't most solo girl sites have their own blog in the Member's section?

Yeah but that's backwards thinking. Get the blog syndicated, get them read by livejournal readers, etc. Make the dudes think about the women before they go to sleep at night, make them almost feel like they know them on a personal level. After that, charge them for a membership to see their dream girl masturbating, sell them a $900 cam session, essentially take these poor suckers for everything they've got.
Crippling addiction or solid business model, you decide.

Ok, fellas. I'm either calling your bluff or out to help you prove your point. Let me introduce myself. I'm a former stud who retired in '98 and has been writing on and off as a XXX scribe for the past several years. I'll eventually expose my identity to those who heed my proposition and wish to go somewhere with this.
While I've a wealth of journeyman exploits in a decade plus career seasoned with wild madcap smut adventures, my literary experience has been that most webmasters want content that is tailored toward one objective. And this is to provide publicity or hype for products, stars or business ad revenue.
This kind of sell-out ad copy I refuse to do because I regard myself as more of an editorial commentator than a reporter. Of my latest gigs, I quit one because it was run by a fool who censored me and let feminists dictate the content. And I was just laid off during the holidays from yet another columnist byline by a webmaster who was making money but too conservative and anti-social to interact with porn people to sell ads for his site.
So now I'm out of work again and seeking new opportunities. As a rule, my style of writing is more conducive to blogging or adult rants and raves meant to attact high end surfers. If any of you wish to test the cyberspace waters of which you speak, I'm game and open to paid blogging or daily columns for syndication. In fact, I can even help attract esteemed colleagues to join the fray.
If anyone's interested, feel free to drop me a private message or E mail me. Samples of my work are available upon request.
Look at how long GreenGuy has been putting daily "personal" notes on his main page, look at how big LinkORama is, and then tell me again that blogs don't work.
(Just so I can have another good laugh.)
Also blogs are NOT new. People have been blogging for as long as they've been able to get online. This is one area where mainstream is years ahead of adult, for a change.

One of the reasons why GreenGuy is as big as it is, is because it was one of the first... Not just because he had a personal blog. Btw, as a fact, the daily.html only gets about 50 visits a day on average... But that doesn't say that people don't visit his site for the daily comments.
However, I will say that adding a "personal touch" (like teeniesxxx.com) with a small blog commentary can bring in productive traffic.
I remeber when I first started adult webmastering one of the sites I always visited was the adultbuffet cause they had a family member post for each day and there was some funny ass shit on there.

Once again you're right, Carrie. Blogs aren't new but they are definitely catching on wider, faster, and deeper into the free porn world. Anything to give more depth to TGP/LLs is a welcome change. Good point re Green Guy
