    Are the US creating a new dictator?



    Afghan people walk past a portrait of President Hamid Karzai in Kabul, January 3, 2004. The Afghan leader insisted on Saturday he was on the verge of a deal on a new constitution, but officials warned that time was running out for efforts to break a deadlock over his U.S.-backed vision for a strong presidency. Karzai said most of the contentious issues holding up an agreement on the constitution at the country's Loya Jirga had been resolved.
    Isn't this mural similar to the ones of Saddam, the ones the US soldiers removed ?

    But I can't figure out how he can breathe or type , at the same time ....

                  Wouldn't those people choke one the sweet air of freedom? You have to give them a psuedo-dictator as part of their slow move to democracy. Just like here in America we have a pseudo-president on our slow move to totalitarianism.
