Well he was making the effort to ship etc.. Dre RAISE YOUR PRICES ON RUSH ORDERS..otherwise you will always get this type of stuff..so make it worth your while..

Yeah its funny.. I ordered shirts from a huge company..and they didnt make it.. I thought of the 2 it would be Dre's not showing up cause it had to come from canada and with all the holiday crap going on.

I posted plenty of time that it wasnt about the money I am on icq with dre now and at least he is trying to make thing right which is cool of him to do but everyone knows how stressful showtime is I will update everyone as to how things work out i hope it works good for all involved.Comment

Well just so you all know that if you're having your stuff delivered to the hotel you will have to go to the receiving area to pick them up and you will have to pay a handling fee to the hotel on them. At least I did at the Venetian. I had cards shipped to me in August because of a misprint and had to pay to pick them up.

sorry to break the bad news man but thought I would at least prepare you. I don't remember off the top of my head how much it was either since my boss paid for it. Just hope he didn't ship them like my printer did which was wrapped in brown paper and then strapped with clear tape all around and the size of a damn brick of coke. The looks I got from the receiving crew at the Venetian was quite amusing. I pulled one of my cards out to show them that it was actually business cards and they were even more amused that it was a porn business card.

What's funny to me is all of the people in this thread who can't think far enough ahead to get their cards done in the beginning of December at the latest so they KNOW they'll have them for Vegas.
Ordering something last-minute and then having slow shipping over the holiday is YOUR procrastination and lack of planning - not anyone else's.
People will make reservations 6 months in advance, get plane tickets 2 months in advance, and then try to order business cards less than a week before the show? Lame. You deserve all the stress you've got over this, you did it to yourself.Comment

i have a promotional company like dre's as well , some of you guys need to plan ahead and ORDER ATLEAST COUPLE WEEKS AHEAD OF TIME if you don't want to be screwed and guaranteed to have your products . Its not easy doing rush orders . I tell my clients over and over again please try to have everything like your artwork on time and everything else with your order 2 weeks ahead of time not the week before an event . This stuff happens , prepare yourself
too boot in bad weather conditions and around the holidays is the worst

The actual reason why he didnt got a hold of me is :
We threw down a party in a Club for new year . I had to do buffet champagne etc the last days b4 the party (I was busy with work too till 2-3 am sometimes for webmasters) . The 31th and 1st we threw down the party so I was away . TOday when I got in I had to ship everything we just printed on the flat and I even missed ups for 3 pakage we didnt had time to fill up the sheets before the truck left .(people were talked too and arangements were made already) .
After that I went to the airport . No1 could send overnight .
After that I went to Air CAnada and they could only ship dogs and cats
After that I went to fedex and they couldnt do shit either till monday
And I went to purolator last just to get me told that they couldnt do shit . All that because the UPS truck wouldnt be stoped for 3 mins the time we paid and printed everything .

I don't know other people's experience with shipping companies, but my personal rule of thumb for shipping stuff is this;
- If I don't care when the package gets to it's destination, 2 to 3 days, etc (or I need a tracking code when I send something out) then, and only then, i would use a place like UPS or the Post Office. "Overnight" is joke with these places, so don't count on them for anything important. To many bad experiences with overnight stuff being a day or two late. Especially with UPS.
- If it absolutely, positively HAS to be there by a certain time, use FEDEX. Never ever had a problem with them.

A couple weeks later, I had a big print job that I needed done. 4x4 fliers and I needed the design. Not only did he design the flier for free, but it looked great and he picked up half of the shipping. In my eyes, he is a fair business man and he will do whatever it takes to keep customers coming back.
If he does make errors, please don't stress. He will make it up to you and the customer is always his priority. I think that is very cool of him to offer those options, and I have no doubt that he'd fly out to bring customers their work.

The 2 guys that gave me a big headache are 100 $ customers . I got some guys that ordered 3 k + and everything work out perfectly and the 100 $ guys complain on the board .
