The ideal solution would be to let the user specify the format. I wrote one for a sponsor that lets you define the format using these tags:
%URL% - Duh
%COUNT% - # of pics or vids
%SDESC% - Short description
%LDESC% - Long description
So in a form field I could enter
%COUNT%|%URL%|%LDESC%
and all of the galleries would be displayed in that format. I also added dropdowns to select pic or vid gals, which site, tour, and gallery template. That was definitely the best solution.
