    ATTENTION: Sponsors w/ Hosted Galleries - READ THIS

    Hosted galleries have become extremely popular. I don't know of many TGP owners who don't use them. In order for us to import them into our scripts, we need them formatted a particular way. Usually this involves a pipe-delimited format such as:

    #of pics|URL|Description

    The way galleries are listed in most affiliate areas isn't really TGP friendly. You should have a way for webmasters to export a text file in any format they choose. This should include the # of pics or videos, description, and URL. I guarantee you'd see more webmasters using the hosted galleries and in turn would see more signups.

    While hosted galleries are nice, I don't have time to go through hundreds of galleries, make accurate descriptions, count content, etc so I just don't use many of them. Help us out a little here.

          I agree.... even if sponsors couuld just block them up so we could copy and past them I can ad my own piping.. but having to grab them one by one is a pain and takes forever. When I see what a pain in the as it is.... we added a text block so people can grab anything we have in 5 seconds and be done with it.

          SIG TOO BIG! Maximum 120x60 button and no more than 3 text lines of DEFAULT SIZE and COLOR. Unless your sig is for a GFY top banner sponsor, then you may use a 624x80 instead of a 120x60.

                                                  I'm working on this issue right now for Meatcash. My biggest question with this is what fields are most common? Should I just put them all, url|category|number of thumbs|description or are there other fields that users have that need to be addressed?

                                                  Oh and http, we already have console free links and are in the process of setting up the epassporte payouts..

                                                              Would some sort of xml page work? ie: a page that self updated itself when a new gallery and description is entered into our system?

                                                              and is the following format: #of pics|URL|Description going to satisfy all or most of the Gods?

                                                                  The ideal solution would be to let the user specify the format. I wrote one for a sponsor that lets you define the format using these tags:

                                                                  %URL% - Duh
                                                                  %COUNT% - # of pics or vids
                                                                  %SDESC% - Short description
                                                                  %LDESC% - Long description

                                                                  So in a form field I could enter

                                                                  %COUNT%|%URL%|%LDESC%

                                                                  and all of the galleries would be displayed in that format. I also added dropdowns to select pic or vid gals, which site, tour, and gallery template. That was definitely the best solution.

                                                                              Probably not since there isn't a standard format for importing the galleries. It would help some of us that can script, but it would still be better to be able to format the file any way we'd like.

                                                                                                                  We just launched our own free hosted "member" galleries, and I'd love more feedback. I want to make these as useful as possible to our promoters, and as TGP-friendly as we can. Descriptions will be live next week. What else would you like? I'll consider all requests and commit to delivering whatever consensus demands.

You need to be able to have a script that the user can pick the format and the ability to pick , or | (not that the last part really matters as it's easy enough to just use notepad and use find and replace.. but what the hell if you are writing a script might as well include that option as well.

                                                                                                                                          The other thing that really gets me is when a sponsor has several templates with the same content and just dumps them all in the same list. I have to then import them all and then go through and visit each URL and delete the templates I don't like, so I'm not showing duplicates of the same content every day.

                                                                                                                                                                              When I started, there wern't that many sponsor programs at all. Now, there are almost as many programs as there are TGPs.

                                                                                                                                                                              Sponsor affilliate areas are a HUGE differnce to me. If I can't quickly log-in, and grab the galleries in a simple format, the best I can do is put that program on the 'to-do' list, for either my reviewer, or a third party reviewer, like $5 Submissions service.

                                                                                                                                                                              Too many programs offer very nice hosted galleries, but present them to their partners in such a way as they are practically useless, as it would take me more time to edit the text files than it's worth.
