You know in some countries (many actually) people would find the thought of sticking a young child/baby in child care for full days (without a relative being around) as abusing the child.
Point is, who are you to really judge. Unless he is beating on his child, he should have every right to teach/raise him how he see's fit. As Ben says 'Don't judge a person until you've walked a mile in their shoes!'.
