there is no real "advantage" in that sense. the designs for single-sided forks have been around for almost 10 years, but only Cannondale managed to reinvent the concept into something that is right now one of the stiffest, if not THE stiffest fork in the 100-130mm travel category of suspension forks. so I guess you could consider that an advantage. plus it attracts eyeballs, which boosts the rider's ego. Hah! I'm such an attention whore.
it looks funky, but works very well, has tons of adjustment options for damping, and pre-compression, and carries a titanium spring inside.
