Strongly disagree - I love the darkness in this game - making you slowly check around for what could be hiding in the shadows intensifies the experience; that and the sound effects and graphics are excellent.
The story is really a retelling of the original doom story
Problem I have is I need a new freaking game computer now, lol.. Gonna look into the nvidia 6800 I think and pray it'll be good for a few years if I get it (and a system it'll work in).
i had to get a wireless card for my move the last couple days and saw doom 3 playing on one of the boxes at the store. i checked it out for a bit and didnt think it was that great.
Its not a bad game. On the other hand, its a long shot from some of the best games I've played. Certainly doesn't compare to the first time I played the original Doom way back when...
Doom3 demos look very good. All I've heared about it so far was only positive experience. I'm looking forward buying a new pc and checking this game out. Feeling some kind of nostalgie about the time when the Doom 2 was released.
THE EXPERIENCED paysite automation.
Simple. Powerful. Efficient. 5 years ripe.
its fucking DOOM 3. Its a god damn HORROR game. Whiny little bitches crying about the fucking dark.
Theyre only hatin cuz Mommy didnt come when they called her to turn on the hall lights.
SIG TOO SMALL! Maximum 1200x600 button and no more than 30 text lines of ALL SIZES and COLORS. Unless your sig is for a GFY top banner sponsor, then you may use a 6240x4800 instead of a 1024x800.

I just don't like having to constantly switch between the flashlight and the weapons. Tape that fucking flashlight to the end of your weapon you dumb marine bastard.
Originally posted by adultwebware I guess feeling that dark and scaryness with 5.1 surround sounds might give some kind of emotions which I no longer get in cinemas
It does, turn up your speakers and switch off the light
Simply the best game overall that I have ever played in my entire life, and I have been playing a lot of games for a long time.
This game is so good, so masterfully done that it approaches art. A very sick and twisted kind of art, but art none-the-less.
Before you say it sucks why don't you look at it from a technical point of view.. Because just because you don't like the game that alone doesn't make it bad..
Sure it isn't going to be everyone's cup of tea, if you like bright games, with non-realistic movement and you do NOT like to be freaked out of your mind then don't buy it. Also if you aren't used to fast action and like point and click monotany like diablo or everquest don't buy it.
It is the fastest paced game I have ever played, and it is very dark.. very very very dark, as in you have your flashlight out most of the time when you aren't fighting..
But the game is simply beautiful, no question there. It is worth buying just to see a sneak peak of what the next 10 years of gaming is going to look like.
