LOS ANGELES (Reuters) - Limp Bizkit, which suffered slow sales of its long-awaited new album, has been named worst band of the year by readers of Guitar World magazine.

Creed, another act that draws sharp reactions, came in at No. 2 even though the Christian combo took the year off. New York rockers the Strokes were No. 3, followed by "all pop-punk bands" at No. 4 and pop-punk band Good Charlotte at No. 5.

Personally I like the new Limp album....I started to change my musical ear about 6 months ago and the new album fits right in to what I'm now listening to.

I haven't heard the new Limp Bizkit album. I have their first two, which are okay. I'll probably pick it up. I haven't picked up the last two Kid Rock albums...but I liked his first major release. The second one wasn't that great.

I just picked up the new Offspring CD, which is a solid album.

Creed's videos piss me off to no end. It's always that jackass looking all pensive and holding shit like grails and bowls and standing alone on a clif with the wind blowing. It's worse then when boys 2 men would ruin their song with those damn, "honey I'm so sorry I banged other chicks. Please take me back baby, I'm lost without you," lines that they always used.

Totally with you on Creed. Don't care for limp biz much either, but I haven't even listened to them enough to say whether or not I dislike them.

I will say that I do dislike POD as well.

Limp Bizkit definitely cares. They are getting boo'd all over the world. They are losing money. It might be a wrap for them.

I liked shit bizkit back when they first came out I was a kid and full of angst. However, the more I listened to them and started to listening to quality music I realized just how fucking terrible these fucks sounded, I honestly now can listen to any of their stuff and cant find a song I can even remotely stand.

For Creed, as I absolutely cannot stand Stap's holier than thou shitty attitude, they are heads and shoulders above most of the new popular music IMO.

I haven't heard any of bizkits new stuff. Creed got all sissyfied. I loved My Own Prison, but if I'm listening to heavier stuff I want it to be deep and dark.

I saw them live before they were famous and when they were still more of a heavy metal band than a rap/metal/pop band. I couldn't understand what the fuck they were singing but it was loud and fun to mosh to.

who cares if the people in the bands are pricks.

creed makes some fucking awesome music, and so does limp.

pisses me off to no end listening to both getting bashed on the radio... on the same fucking stations that rode both creed and limps jocks into the groud with airplay only a few months earlier.

I'm sure all artists are pricks. I could care less. Don't know them, just want them to give me something good to listen to while I'm driving around. What pisses me off is the damn sell out radio stations. They play the same 20 songs over and over and OVER. I have 10 stations programmed in my car and my finger is on the button trying to find something 80% of the time. There is one station that says they won't play the same song in a 24 hour period but they are super light and I only like a few songs they play (can't deal with michael bolton). I really wish they would up their list to have 50 songs in rotation, or more! There are so many good artists out there that haven't been discovered yet, give them a chance!
