Fake Yahoo Profiles -- covered by CAN SPAM?

Russian scripters say NO, but any liberal wannabe Thurgood Marshall judge could easily extend coverage to this money maker.
Since these are so blatantly fake. Same with fake dating site profiles.

And no, they can't make the current law fit that. It has absolutely nothing to do with bulk email.

Fake adult profiles with links to clickcash sites or pornsite landing pages. They generate tons of these and put them in the yahoo dating site, groups, mboards, tons of places.

If they were spamming these yea they could be in violation of SEC 5 (b) (2) , which also applies to the use of generated accounts to transmit email or be used as a from address etc.

                      (2) AUTOMATED CREATION OF MULTIPLE ELECTRONIC MAIL ACCOUNTS- It is unlawful for any person to use scripts or other automated means to register for multiple electronic mail accounts or online user accounts from which to transmit to a protected computer, or enable another person to transmit to a protected computer, a commercial electronic mail message that is unlawful under subsection (a).

That's true, since the profile is tied to an ID which is tied to an email.
