It's trying to save pictures at bmps instead of jpgs or whatever, and it won't give me any other option. I don't use it that often, but WHAT THE FUCK is going on? Anyone familiar with this?

General Tab -> Temporary Internet Files -> Delete Files
Check Delete All Offline Content -> OK

If you click on Settings, you can set how much max. space you allow the comp to use for temp internet files.Comment

If you want to save a file as a different format use quotes around the name and specify the proper extension..
eg. "filename.jpg"
That makes it save as a jpg and not the default, if def is bmp.Comment

I had the same issue and eventually just gave up using IE after numerous hissy fits. Another wierd one was not being able to View---->Page Source.Comment
