In general it's best for the start to link to other sites.
You'll see, that you'll get some traffic from them if you get added to their referral lists.
Apart from that, you'll get a better pagerank on google if you have linked sites with a higher PR than you have (coz yours is currently at 0
)
And the more PR you have the sooner your site will be the result of a google search...
