    As you can see this post is not the script presentation.

            If all this is true it is really disturbing. Considering that we are in the process of sourcing out scripts right now I will probably give all of you a wide berth.

            Personally if I were to buy a source script I would modify it if I considered it flawed or broken to the point that it was not working or a hazard to my system. I would do the same with any other software as well, license be damned.

            Now if this guy is jacking your source then call your lawyer right now and shut him down. This will be easy enough to deal with.

                                        So far the only one calling us a theives is you, and at the same time...you've provided no proof that anything has been stolen from you.

                                        Grow up Choker...you're really out of line here. The script is legit and there's not much that you can do about it. Actually...there isn't anything you can do. You know this, which is why your ture colors are showing. Please have your lawyers contact us and we can go from there.

                                        For now the script will stay up. I think it's up to you to prove that you script was stolen. Anyone that takes 2 seconds to look at the code will see this.

                                            Clearly it was never anounced v1.0 or even 1.0.1 so why do you release a script at v1.0.2 or maybe in spanish you cound backwards?

                                            Keep tring to play everyone for a fool though and maybe i will be the one to jack to your code and make my own script. Afterall im sure it could use improvments and i will be sure to rename all the varibles and move some code around.

                                                Bug reports on Choker's board do not relate to CjOverkill, but the features I requested are in CjOverkill because I needed these features.

                                                Version 1.0 was only for beta testing and was not publically released. The first public version was 1.0.1 and it was not anounced on GFY but it was anounced on other places (not boards). When I had a decent bugless version I anounced it on GFY (there is no point to make an anounce of a buggy software on such a big board like GFY).

                                                For the next version there will be Spanish, Russian and Bulgarian translation as there are lots of russian and spanish webmasters using the script, and I am Bulgarian myself, so I prefer it in Bulgarian. Of course I can give them support in the same language. More languages will come in the future.

                                                I have no problem if you use CjOverkill as a base for other script. When you have it done, just mesaage me to add a link to your branch at my site. I want my users to have the choice to get other versions, that would be good for all.

                                                About the traffic, I made CjOverkill because I needed a functional trading script. I do not really care very much on the traffic. Every 15 days or so I choose a random site from the ones using CjOverkill and redirect all the traffic to it.

Re-writing is perfectly legal regardless of what the license says. Just because someone saw your script, found some bugs then wrote a new script with the same features plus some improvements doesn't make what he did illegal. There is nothing in your script or anyones traffic trading script that they can patent which means you can't sue him for using the same ideas or features.

                                                                        Does it suck, ya for the most part. Because now someone has a better script then yours, which is never good for business. But it's been mentioned a dozen times before, start listening to your users, and make steady improvements, eventually the best program will win out. It is a business and regardless of whether you like what happened, the code is different enough that you are going to lose, so work on your script and forget about them.

                                                                        Side note: I think traffic trading scripts are garbage and just fuck around the user, but I guess that is neither here nor there.

                                                                                I'd like to hear each sides qualifications. I know choker's good with traffic but I was under the impression that he hires programmers.

                                                                                Honestly I'd rather trust a Bulgarian hacker to write a script than a few webmasters and a programmer-4-hire. They usually know nothing about security and we're all just waiting to get hit. I mean come on, I used to hack, card, phish, scam, hitbot, cheat, crack and all that through my early high school years. If someone like me says there's a vulnerability in a script you're running and I can fix it(while providing source that can be verified to be safe), you're better off taking the patch and saving your server

                                                                                PS. What about Star Office? It used the same features and formats as MS Office but it ran on linux and windows. Not only that, but it was better and less bloated.

                                                                                PPS. Choker you may as well let people code plugins. Might I remind you of a little program called winamp that most people still use years later now cause of the skinning/plugins? You're getting traffic out of it, I'd take it if I were you

                                                                                                                                                                        My personal opinion is that the cjoverkill script is considerable diffrent then the turbo traffic trade script but I also belive that who ever wrote the cjoverkill script started out by using the ttt script. I will even take the time to explain why.

                                                                                                                                                                        line 13 of ttt-mysqlfunc.inc.php is exactly the same as
                                                                                                                                                                        line 30 of cj-functions.inc.php

                                                                                                                                                                        when dealing with trade functions and no trade is selected
                                                                                                                                                                        ttt uses this error message "Please select a trade first"
                                                                                                                                                                        the same message is used in most of the cjoverkill script except for one that I found which uses this error message
                                                                                                                                                                        "You must select a trade for this" which seems strange using diffrent message to say the same thing

                                                                                                                                                                        also if you look at some variables that are not used often they tend to have the same name like $thishour

                                                                                                                                                                        if you compare the edit.php and delete.php for each script there are just to many things that are the same for it to have been written by diffrent people. I can look at the code and see how simple it would have been to do search and replace on a lot of things to change their name.

While I did support Icefire/Powercum as we were partners on another venture, I had nothing to do with the coding of CJOverkill, or whatever it is that you're talking about.

                                                                                                                                                                                        Please make sure you have the proper infomation before making such accusations. Right now you're just feeding into a bunch of bullshit. I've never heard of or used your script, and I couldn't find an exploit if I had to save the planet...let alone do what it is you said this person did. I would be willing to bet that it's something Icefire would be capable of, and he's seems to know his code and has brought up "security issues" in the past. So I'm guessing that you're maybe thinking that we are one in the same...and we're not.

Copy his CJoverkill new features and let it be done with. No doubt in my mind that CJo was taken from TTT, and yah, i am a programmer in Delphi, i know about that kind of crap.

                                                                                                                                                                                            But i think Choker is over the line when he blacklist Cjoverkill's tgp users. Find a way to retaliate against the script creator, not the tgp admin, because it's not written everywhere that this script or another one, is more legitimate than any others.

                                                                                                                                                                                            As for CJoverkill maker, if you are a talented programmer, then start your own trading script from scratch, with 100% of your coding and interface. Only then, in the mind of the majority of us, you will find some kind of legitimacy toward your programming skill, not by adding/changing over another software. This is called cracking or hacking, not programming.

                                                                                                                                                                                            Programming required that:
                                                                                                                                                                                            - You can draw the lines of a full project, and beeing able to integrate each modules in a logical way.
                                                                                                                                                                                            - Beeing able to construct an interface that a vast majority of users would appreciate
                                                                                                                                                                                            - Have enouph vision to make your software upgradable

                                                                                                                                                                                            Poeples often think that programming is the ability to add codes. The most important fact is that you need to be able to create a project from scratch, on papers with basic and more rafined guidelines and modules. It demands creativity, a logical mind...not typing code skill.

                                                                                                                                                                                            So, i think that's what you need to proove to everyone, and even more to yourself. That you can start it from scratch. That's what i called programming talent. Otherwise, some programmers are just php, cgi "secretary" .
