So layout for trades matter a lot? I am torn between a "face" shot thumb layout and a text description
Face may or may not reveal that the gallery is hardcore
Text does this but doesn't give a physical impression of the quality of the chick.
thumbs get more clicks, but text has better conversions. it all depends on what are you going to do, if you're in the hit sale biz, thumbs gives more quantity, if you want to keep the hits for your sponsors or trades, I'd go with text

I just switched my text tgp over to a thumb tgp and a 120X90 one at that. I doubled traffic overnight and productivity etc is way through the roof than what I ever had it as text tgp.
The 120X90 is nice because you can tease or show a little more with the thumb. Having a script that keeps a hall of fame helps keeps your clicks up as well and suprising the ones in my top table are babes or teens with bras/clothing on. Not too much hardcore.
I also threw in Daily Movie text listings at the bottom filled with sponsor hosted galleries etc. and it seems to pick up some decent clicks as well.
Very interesting question. I have wondered what other people's numbers are like. So far I find that text is the best for me between the two. That is of course just my experience with it.

How many unique hits do you get a day?
I have heard varying reports about productivity. Some people say that text TGPs have more productivity, while others say thumb TGP's have more productivity.
Once again, this is a question of what you do with the traffic.
If you want to convert sponsors to your galleries, text is a great filter.
If you want to send traffic to your trades, I would think thumbs is the way to go. I notice a pattern with good traders--use hardcore or really fine looking babes' head shots for your traffic outlinks.
I Have tried both methods but by far text linking works better for me. My 2 cents...
A surfer likes blonde teens for example but doesn't like the thumb preview of the blonde teen he may not click it, but a text link like "Cute teen spread wide" doesn't specify anything other then "Teen", and "Pussy". It "Casts a bigger net" to get the surfer in front of your sponsor links.
Totally depends on what you're trying to accomplish. Problem with face thumbs is that you run out of space real quick. Plus there's the load time issue, specially if you are just resizing a thumb located outside of your server.
Originally posted by nicchick For me, text links, by far.
Point me a text based tgp that has more then 400% prd.
Thumbs by far.
SIG TOO BIG! Maximum 120x60 button and no more than 3 text lines of DEFAULT SIZE and COLOR. Unless your sig is for a GFY top banner sponsor, then you may use a 624x80 instead of a 120x60.

You kidding me right?
You're saying that on a tgp (no matter what kind) what converts better is teh description?
So in that case you're not a tgp you're a link list, or am I wrong?
I saw some of this anwsers a while ago and I was lauhging my eyes out.
Learn man; what converts is the gallery, not yours or some one elses links to that galleries, if its text or thumb.
In my opinion thumb tgp drives more clicks to galleries.
If you can point me a text tgp with stats like this please let me know
100K
368K to gallery (368%)
This is one of the sites that I (tgpbuilders) are building. Just an exemple.
Euro Thumb:
80K
220K to Galleries (250%)
The list goes on.
Now another opinion is a perfect mix - thumbs/text -
Another site Im growing http://www.sexmiracle.com 398% as we speak.
So check whats better for you try both.
As some one else here said, hes traffic growed overnight and so the prd, when he changed to thumbs. I think this says all

If the thumb is well done, it get a lot more clicks than a text link

Something I've wondered is whether skimmed surfers are less likely to close the browser window (or hit the back button if you don't open new windows) if a gallery link sends them to a thumb preview TGP in preference to a text TGP, ie are skimmed surfers less likely to close the window if the TGP looks a bit like a gallery?
