If you can't be at the show, you should still be able to see it, as it will be viewable in the entire Northen Hemishere. I have a great spot close to home, so I'll check it out on the 10th and see if I can't catch some early Perseids in the dark sky.

There was a nice downpour last year for about half an hour. I remember the pool and patio area just cleared out and the lobby was fuckin' packed.

Fun stuff.

I hope we get a good thunderstorm or 2.

I see shooting stars almost every clear night, but the meteor showers are AWESOME! Thanks for the info, Mike - I'll be watching on the 11th for sure. If anyone plans on watching in FL on the 12th, FIND ME

Hey Lori! You going crazy yet? hahahahahaha

Actually poolside will be tough with all the lights down there. If your room has a balcony that is a good bet, at least then you'll be looking above some lights and it will be easier to see. Mother Nature may hide the show but I'm keeping my fingers crossed.

I'll be on my balcony smoking a cigar and enjoying the view...hopefully...
