personality of the average surfer?

Can anyone point me into the right direction of the average porn surfer stats?

Example: middle aged white male, 40-50k per year, job type, college back ground, married, single, parents still married.

Just anything that I can use to relate to the surfers is appreciated.

When you find those demographics as they apply to porn, we all would be interested!! You could hire Gartner Group to provide the numbers, but that would cost big time.

Always wondered if the real big and smart players like Hustler, Adult.com etc. had those figures.

I've looked for industry specific data and didn't find anything available to the public.

The credit card processing people have the data on who buys!! Know the right people and you might have a start on an answer.

I assumed they would have that information. Even I take a survey of my members regarding their demographics and preferences.

I do a crap load of demographic studies via our sites. I am kind of amazed that others are not doing it. To me it seems that knowing your customer/demographic is very important.
Then again very few treat this like a business, so I guess I am not that amazed.

They simply do not give a fuck, they want to scale their business very big and don't care about the profile and satisfaction of the surfer. Surfer should rebill and that's all what matters. :-/

Any large organization should be concerned with efficiency and proper use of resources. They really should be past the whole "throwing shit at the wall to see what sticks" stage.

That would definitly be really usefull But I bet it changes for every niche
