My accountant tells me that as a sole trader if you buy a car for your business, its a complete tax writeoff. This also applies for the car insurance, car tax and most expensives that you would have for your car (if its used for business.

Can anyone confirm this who is setup as a sole trader ? Reason I ask is because when I did my business coarse for setting up my business earlier this year the representative from the Inland Revenue specifically said that a car purchased for your business was not a tax writeoff.

So im looking for confirmation here ? is it or isn't it ?
