Im looking to buy a decent quality scanner(~200$). Not the ultra cheap ones they make now, but not a pro one.

What are the things to look for? What brands are good? Which to avoid?

Also, what do you use?

Its moslty for scanning documents and pictures, not much slides, but the scans will be used in designs for print medias.
