Basically theyre trying to say that doing something over the Internet is the same as doing it in your hometown. Its an odd concept and one thats not been fully explored legally. If an online casino is in Dublin, is it illegal to access it from CA if gambling is illegal there? I dont think this will go through because the accepted (at least as far as I know and *I AM NOT A LAWYER*) is that such a test does not stand up. If, however, the casino is based in CA, there IS an issue as the business being conducted is relevant to the state laws at hand. *shrug* .02Comment

For example - I bet everyone knows about the woman who sued McDonald's and won $3mil for hot coffee right? I bet you don't know that a) it was appealed and she got just inder $300k (a far cry from 3mil) b) that particular McD's was written up at least 3 other times for serving coffee too hot c) there were many other complaints on the same thing(too hot coffee) at that location. d) the money she got barely covered her medical bills (she had 2nd and 3rd degree burns in her crotch and had to have several runs of transplant surgery to replace damaged skin....
