    Automatic Backup Services?

Im thinking to start a complete automatic backup service for unix/windows servers with the follow options to make the backup wget or ftp or rsync.

but i have some questions left.

1: Would you be intressed to use it?
2: How much would you pay for it in your situtaion and how much data are you having, this is a serious question?
3: Would i need to add a trial for 1 month?

people who will give a good response will get it for free for 1-3 months, need to check some things out but i think i will give 3 months free then.

Not all of them do that. And A LOT of hosts are not prepared to put the tape in the drive when YOU fuck it up. They just say "Sorry Sir, that's not our mistake.".

Usually you can get a 2nd drive with a server for backups, if it needs to be remote (waste of bandwidth on both sides if you ask me) then $60 can get you a box with 1000 gigs, that's enough to transfer 33 gigs of content every day. But that's my opinion.

I really don't know ... it all depends of the site ...

30-50$ a month without any problem ... and my sites aren't really huge

I use to work for a host. We wouldnt even think about using a tape backup. that would be to slow and to hands on and at 300+ dedicated servers i dont think so. We had a huge multi tb raid server that we used for back up.
