    Cops get sneaky to catch speeders

    Driving into work today and notice a weird yellow in the snow on the side of the road.
    Lo' and behold it is a cop laying in the snow with a radar gun peering from behind a lamp pole. These guys must be getting desperate to hit their ticket quota!

                      first time I went to Canada we we're driving from Tornoto to Montreal and in the fast lane a cop about 1/4 mile ahead pulled over in the hazard lane in the middle of the friggin freeway. It looked like it was a driver with car problems. we get closer and out the blue the cop jump out and points the radar gun at us. We we're speeding but I think he was two late on getting us on radar. we didn't stay to find out. it was the funniset thing I have ever seen. I love Canada 'eh

                                  Speaking as someone who's been hit by speeding cars, I'm glad they're being "lame". Here in GA, they can't ticket you via radar for less than 10 MPH over the limit. If I'm on a 45 MPH road and someone moron is going 60 MPH, then I applaud whatever efforts the police need to stop them. They CANNOT write you a ticket if you're not speeding, no matter how well they hide.

                                              If you think that's bad, move to St. Pete Florida! They act like a broken down motorist on the side of the road and hide behind the hood. They also post up on cherry pickers and make like city workers and are using laser rather than the traditional radar. Last year they even went as far as dressing the cops as homelss people on the side of the road (it was actually kinda funny because on their sign it read, "I'm a Cop so Stop Speeding").

                                              They are relentless in their speed traps here and it's a huge pain in the ass! They also have a lot of undercover cop cars/trucks/vans that just drive up and down the interstates to catch speeders.

                                                          On I-95? That highway is famous for drug running.. there is a reason they do that

                                                                                  Cops don't even seem to give a shit about speeding in Dallas. I never see people pulled over, unless they're out of the car being searched, or being put in the backseat of the patrol car... and those obviously aren't just speeders.
