Nothing of this magnitude would happen in LA from just an earthquake, no matter how bad it was because a very high percentage of the buildings in California are built with earthquakes in mind. Now if a Tsunami hit as a result of the earthquake, it could be real bad. In Iran, the buildings just weren't made as well as the ones in CA.Originally posted by Probono

this is very sad ... it happens, nature will fuck you up and it likes to remind us every once in a while. anyone can go at anytime ... thats a sad part of life...
but i live far away from any fault lines on purpose. I have 3-4 days notice if a hurricane is coming, and tornados only hit trailer parks.
