party poker is great.
especially after midnight, it's filled with idiots. Milked one table for nearly 200$ in about 30 minutes at a 2/4 table early this morning. -
This is true... but on the flip side, those are the idiots that will stay in the hand with like a pair of 2's with 3 overcards showing. Then hit 3 of a kind of the river when you have aces right on the flop. The idiots are actually BAD for online poker if you ask me, they have no consistency to their play.Originally posted by ace0r

The idiots calling all the way to the river with small pairs and drawing to gutshot straights everytime, are the ones who make us money in the long run.
Of course it is frustrating to get beat by a gutshot draw. However, keep your cool and they will pay for it rather sooner than later.Comment

I hate the poker players who complain about other people playing bad and outdrawing them.
If you're losing money over a long period of time its because YOU were playing bad, you just want to blame it on the bad beat hands because that's all you remember.
In the long run the people who play bad pay the bills of the people who play for a living, its as simple as that.
If you want to play with people who don't chase longshot draws go play 15/30 or 30/60

I love PP and play there every day. I only play the $50/100/200 single table tourneys but I would recommend staying away from the lower stakes because people really do play like retards.
Depositing and cashing out is really easy and fast too.
I think the best time to play is between 6-12 est. In my experience is that people playing in the middle of the night are hardcore and pretty good players or Europeans who also seem to be good players. There is of course the occasional drunk guy who goes crazy. So in general I think its best to play when your average Joe who is a basic player is on after work or something.
and dont forget to keep notes, they come in handy!Comment

Party Poker is a pretty good site, I have used it in the past. Right now I am all over Pokerroom.com great tournaments and their 1/2NL table produces some pretty large pots. Anyone try promoting their affiiliate program? They pay out 65 bucks/signup. I threw their banners on one of my smaller sites with hardly any traffic last month, did pretty decent. :

Partypoker didn't do me any good. Their "security" people don't know how to handle epassporte properly, not accepting it as a secure payment method. They actually wanted me to fax them documents to prove that the card was mine.
I declined their offer and had them close my account (after playing 1 tournament and coming in 15th on 400 people).
Their bonuses are bogus as well. Their $25 signup bonus requies that you place a certain number of raked hands, which means they are only repaying you for the rake, nothing else. You don't get $25 for signing up directly.
Their system seems to play well, but they don't secure their play money systems again children and abusers. I had to stop using that part of thier system as it was filled with bigots, racists, and generally rude people - many of them are underage on top of it.
What can I say? I played with them for about 2 weeks, and at the end of two weeks, ahead of the game, I am happy to leave them and NEVER go back.

Who gives a fuck if kids are in the play money games??? Its play money, play for real or go home.
Also, you can turn chat off if you don't want to listen to the idiots, but you'll have them in a real card room also.

lenny2: Putting up with kids in the games is a pain in the ass because most of them spend their time swearing, calling each other names, and generally playing like idiots. I go to the play money games to learn... these dips are messaging their hole cards to each other.
I have never seen words like "hahahahahaha" "kyke" and such used so openly and for so long. There is no method on the PP system to report abusive players.
It's disgusting, and it's a waste of time.
