However the truth is this has been in development for about 6 months now, flights out of the U.K have armed marshalls to major destinations started x-mas.

Thing that I'm confused about is if all the marshalls are going out of the u.k how are they coming back armed?

PILOT BOYCOTT THREAT

The airline pilots' union in Britain has advised its members not to fly planes with armed sky marshals until agreement has been reached on the way they are used.

armed gaurds has been a hot topic for the last week or so beause the gov't offically said for the first time that they would be on flights from British carriers. Then today the pilot union is threatening to strike unless 'rules of engagement' are agreed upon. Which more or less boils down to them demanding to know when an armed gaurd is on their plane and some want the right to refuse to fly with them. I have some sympathy for the first bit but not the second bit.
