You could put up a 2257 statement on your board and leave it at that.
If the US authorities wanted to check you out they would need to go through your courts to get a warrant. There is no way they can enforce a US offshore, tell them you have the documents and everything else.
Seems a lot of webmaster business is coming away from the US.
However having the documents that are rquired by the 2257 law is a good idea to protect yourself. You need to KNOW the content you're publishing is legal and the documentation is with you, not at the other end of an email, phone call, ICQ or prayer. How many threads do we see asking where is this or that content provider?
