Anyhow...Weppel/Wessel seems to have lost a bit in the translation perhaps. And maybe you're not getting the entire story.

Rich posted a long while ago needing AS databases, and I hooked him up with my large list of over 600 sites. Funny how no one has mentioned this little bit of info. Rich mentions me helping him in the past, but not specifically the part about me giving him the database to get started with. Funny how he seems to have forgotten/

A few weeks later, he was offering his list for sale. Since I had no problem giving Rich my database so that he could build his database, I asked for his. He had no problem and sent me a link instantly. For starters, most of the sites in his database were in my original list. Since Rich had my list while building his list, it was obvious where some of this info came from. There were also a bunch of sites in his list that were setup for Rich's partner submits. I spent time reverting these all back to standard submit pages. I have added some more sites. Deleted a bunch of others.

I saw no harm in selling my updated database, just as Rich had no problem selling his database which was in part derived from my database. I don't have to ask his permission, just as he didn't have to ask for mine. Why should it work one way and not the other? It should be ok for Rich to do it, but not me? Why so?

Fletch can bark and whine all he wants. People can see similarities all day long, it's the differences that count. I see similarities in the work of all the different designers on this board. but each and every piece is unique...as are mine. Nothing was stolen, nothing was plagerized. End of story. Get over it, like you say you have.

Once again, this is another example of people jumping to conclusions without knowing the full details and others chiming in on something they know nothing about. And that's exactly what I love about GFY!

Thankfully, anyone with half a brain takes the time to read through these threads and makes a judgement for themselves. I don't care what people think of me one way or the other...just as long as they are basing their opinions on the truth.

None of the things that people seem to want to come after me for stick. I didn't steal Choker's TTT, I'm not stealing Fletch's galleries and I'm sure as hell not selling a database that belongs to Rich.

I used your list maybe ONCE and never again opened it. If you beleive that or not is not important, just ask TomsPics whom i PAYED to create my list from scratch, and it took 2 weeks to complete.

Seeing as i PAYED to have my list created, i think it IS fucked up for someone to just go ahaid and resell without atleast mentioning it to me.

The reason i gave you a free copy so fast is because you have helped me with several issues in the past, yes including giving me the list your speaking about ... i returned the favor, end of story. Doesnt give ANY permission to resell or claim as your own work.

Im not even making that big of a deal because i wasnt even selling them, i was either giving them to friends, or donating sales to the Tala fund. But just the fact that i tried helping out a bud in return for previous favors, and in return i got shafted .... just not cool.

If you would have come to me with something like "yo rich i got this site im selling dB's and id like to add this one, do you mind?" we could have worked something out! But this wasnt the case.

So we all saw things a bit differently. The way I saw it was just like I wrote it. I gave you a list and you gave me one back. I would say that almost all of the sites in the one you returned to me were in the list that. I would expect that, but at the same time...the database is more than just a list of sites. There were sites that had similar issues in your db as they did in mine. From what I saw, it looked like you had done what you had told me you planned to do.

You told me what you were doing when I gave you my list, so I assumed that what you gave back to me included some of the database info from my list. I knew your intentions and gave you my list to start building yours. That is what you told me you were trying to do and I had no problem giving you something that I normally sell. I will admit I was a bit surprised to see you selling a database a few weeks later.

I didn't think that there was any need to come to you, because from what I saw...the list was a derivitive of my original list. I've since cleaned it up a bit, adding new sites, deleting some others and changing submit pages and such. I'm working on adding 2 new niches with more sites, so the list continues to change.

Sorry man. You could have at least had some balls and talked to me about this personally...instead of sinking into typical drama whore behavior. Did you even stop think, for just one second maybe, that it could have been some sort of misunderstanding?

$100 to have a specially tailored Advanced Submitter database is definitely money that would be well spent if you use the program
