    My kitten Carly just turned into Carl!

    My wife just took our kitten, Carly, for her third vet visit. The first visit was to the emergency vet on the night we got her. She had ran into the tire of my wife's PT Cruiser and ridden inside the tire for 6 miles without my wife's knowledge. They had to take the tire off her car to get the kitten out. She was taken to the emergency vet, who said there was nothing wrong with her except for a couple scratches! She went to the normal vet a couple days later for her first shots and all that.



    Today she went for her second batch of shots and I guess her sex organs are more developed now because we just found out Carly is actually Carl. I guess it's pretty common for vets to make this mistake with young kittens since their sex organs are so small at first.

    My poor kitten is having an identity crisis! We've been calling him "Baby Girl" for a month!

                          I can tell you, your cat will never get over the identity crisis LOL, I had a cat and called her missy, then three months later she went back to the vets and whooops missy was a boy. Now he is mister but everybody says he still acts like a baby girl.

                                                      it's not a vet mistake. My sister had a cat and it happened the same, only that he "changed" sex at 2 years old or so. Vet told her that hermaphroditism in cats is not common, but it's not uncommon either, it's like 1:10,000 or so. I always had my doubts about it, but somebody else told me that, and then you... thinking of new niche: hermaphrodite pussies!

                                                                          It was raining hard and the kitten was in the middle of the road. She slammed on her breaks to keep from hitting it and it disappeared. She looked all over for it and even checked in her engine. No kitten. Then she drove six miles. When she stopped, she heard a kitten crying and thought it had gotten in her engine after all. Turns out it had climbed inside her tire. I didn't realize a kitten could fit inside of a car tire either.

                                                                                                                          We got our kitten from the Humane society. The tag said

                                                                                                                          female, tabby.

                                                                                                                          When she was 4 months old we took her to have that special surgery and they called to say, 'she is a he'. I guess the wrong card was on her. (Should have known, since she had no stripes but was all black.)

                                                                                                                          She's still a she to us. Too late to change gears. Besides she's pretty much asexual at this point. Still felt wierd. Like we didn't really know her at all.

                                                                                                                                      When we got this kitten, I don't think it had even eaten solid food before. It's sex organs were a tiny dot on a tiny 1 pound body.
