I agree Basic_man, but I've been there with the cops during a domestic violence call. The scariest call a cop will get. I've been there and the victim will lie through their teeth that nothing is going on even with blood pouring from their wounds!
I've seen women with a busted lip, black eye stand there and LIE that she got it when she fell chasing the cat, slipped in the tub, fell out of bed.
Then months later she'd end up severly injured for life or even dead. It's stupid, yet victims often feel like they can 'save their antagonist' or 'they deserve to get beaten' etc. Not realizing they're placing their lives and their kids' lives in jeopardy.
Not to mention retribution. Some guys are in gangs. If she has him arrested his 'posse' will retaliate. Things were sooooo bad that years back our newspaper had to build a complex just to house a safe house for battered women. It was booked to the brim!
Now I come back full circle to see this shit going on again???
No way... this shit is gonna end now.
