Yeah, just heard from melissa that the police showed up at her job, and gave her a ticket for public nudity for each and every shoot on her site that shows her showing any skin in public.

My lawyer, has advised me not to leak any of this to the local press, until she can find out what is going on exactly, as she has been in regular contact with the police, and had heard nothing about this.

The maximum penalty for any of the tickets is a $250 fine... which is totally petty in my mind.....

My lawyer's advise to not involve the press is based on the heat i've gotten in the past when i've been on the news....

What do you think?

I think that them going to a website and downloading images THAT WERE PHOTOSHOPPED TO LOOK LIKE SHE WAS IN PUBLIC... does not prove she did anything agasint the law. Unless they have eye witnesses I would tell them to eat a dick.

totall agreed fletch.... but they have already had my name for awhile... and they had threatened gallery magazine (melissa is on the jan cover).... because they thought that gallery magazine did their shoot of melissa here in lincoln, and that gallery would have done it at a non-studio... which breaks lincoln city laws...

gallery magazine told lincoln police to shove it (around 2 weeks ago).... and i'm sure that this is a partial reflux from that....

I am not moving... my offices are outside city limits... and cannot be found easily... melissa would not say anything....

The big question I have for you, is would you talk to the press at all... or just hope it all dies down....

My decision is that my lawyer, and her partners are coming up with a statement for me to read via phone to the press... and then i'm going out of town til vegas....

I agree, our police are not crooked at all.... especially with the public watching... hell lincoln has one of the highest gay population per capita in the United States (I think that it's relevant)....

I know what this is... it's a crusade by our police chief...

Hell, girls gone wild shot here at the bars about a month ago... and the police were totall open, and wanting to watch....

The police were pushed into this... for mutliple reasons (one of them is no doubt my past press exposure)....

I am not breaking the laws.... There are certain protections that I have used in all of her "public" shoots....

The bar ones... are shot when the bars are empty... so how is that really public... (even though it's marketed otherwise, which is what the police are focussing on)

The one shoot done in a public park was not actually done here in lincoln (also marketed differently)... hell, it wasn't even done in nebraska....

I know this won't go away like the common cold... I also know that this instance will not blow up in my face...

It's a feeble attempt by the police to go after what they think is illegal (because they are going off of what is said on the site(s))

Hell, I haven't done a shoot here in lincoln for months... I've been going to other states....

But ztik is somewhat wrong with some of this... The police may not be corrupt, but they can fuck with me....

For instance... My G/f caught me cheating on her 2 weeks ago... and rammed her jeep into my car 3 times (FUCKING up my car)... the police were called... and they really didn't want to help me much... and on top of it, they had a police dog smelling everywhere in my car (i assume for drugs)... while they were taking photos of it....

That is what i mean by fucking with me....

Make a big deal about it on your site...ie., use the word "BANNED IN NEBRASKA" or some hype like that

You live in Lincoln, NE. Not the best place to run a porn biz.

This could be an opportunity, site sales should go through the roof with local media attention. Hire some heavy porn law firm. The second call should be to a PR firm. Rake in the cash to pay the lawyers.

I agree about moving your cash out of state. Texas might be a good choice - ask the lawyer. Moving the cash now might be a crime now too?? Play it STR8 with the Feds - no phony SS numbers etc.

the problem with getting press for negative reasons is that it will always eventually come back to haunt you... Seth Warshavsky style. its just a question of time.

If the shoots were out of the state or even out of the city/county, and you can prove it, then technically the cops haven't a leg to stand on in that the acts happened outside of their jurisdiction..

They can't arrest you for something you did someplace else..
