one of my favorite cameras next to the XL1 i just wish they didn't cost that much, as often as i break them, i can't afford to have one. but a tv photographer friend said it's a very good camera, minus the subpar mic it has

i know one of our local tv stations have all of their news teams equiped with a GL2 XL1 or a Sony PD* as a backup and even use it for on-air stuff

Id still go for the vx2000 tho...simply because they are way better in low light conditions.

Search up some comparison pics on google and youll see what im talking about.

I've had the original gl1 for over 4+ years... and its still a good workhorse.

see what a difference a little lower lux makes?

we've both GL2 and VX-2000, and the VX-2000 is good for low light but not so good when there's too much light dispersion, you need to play with lightning, "negative light", color strobes and such. But it has great quality once you work on it
