    zone alarm slowing pc down

Upgraded the other day to the latest version of Zone Alarm pro. and now computer is running slow. I checked out their site and it says while the program is on "learning mode" windows xp may run slower however sould be ok after 3 day - 1 week..

Anyone else had same problem? Never had a problem with my old version 3...

My old roomate worked for a ISP and would come hope and complain daily about the problems that zone alarm caused. Alot of people couldn't even use the net even after uninstalling it with out removing the reg keys and I have heard zone alarm can slow down a pc.....

Mine seems to be forgetting program priveledges, it's not that the program has changed since it last accessed the net either.

just remove it you don't really need a firewall on windows anyway

no problems for me, I am running 2000 though. They are pretty solid so if they say wait a week then it should be good.

hahah, i did a zonealarm update the other day, took the firewall down for no less than 30 seconds, and i got rpc'd. "unexpected shutdown" bullshit, sad i cant patch this win2k3 box.
