A small break down of the cost you can see not all that money is going to bombs and bullets.
Soldiers pay, housing, and meals are probably at the top of the "most spent on" items.
Plus a lot of that money is going to small businesses here in the US to build equipment and other "military functions".
Not that I support spending tons of money on war, but thought I would give a "fair and balanced" view.
