when something on a smaller level goes down, many times it goes unseen - lots of fucked up shit gets approved, and people focus so much on the president, they don't realize it goes on in their own town.

looking at my own town, the last 2 mayors which literally covered the last 20 years in my town has been corrupt - taking kickbacks from contractors to get approvals to build

approving insurance rate hikes year after year, big ones too - 10-20% each fucking year. they do what benefits them as lawyers and their friends, its a fucking joke - its a fucking travesty, and in my opinion, thigns on the state/local level are so self-centered to the benefit of the politician.

Do you know any Americans that "think everything American is right"? I am an American and I do not know any American that thinks that. You are clueless thus you are not aware that Americans live by the creed that you know a politician is lying when you see his/her lips moving.

This American does not have a problem with "honest" criticism...but this American does have a problem with someone...that almost daily...spews "hatred" of the US government and repeatedly calls for the assassination of an American President. This American views someone like that as an enemy of America...and as a personal enemy.

I have always had more of a problem with local city goverment more often than I have with the Federal government.

The question still remains, why do we put up with this shit?

people can claim all they want that they'll never do it, but when you get there, the temptation is so high, it would take a very strong and dedicated person to say no...

when you get the to state level, the only way to get elected and party support is through loyalty, and guess who you're being loyal to, the people you're gonna help out when you're in office.

thats why its politics, thats how you get up high and elected. its bullshit, and the only thing you can do is come to terms with it and let it go.

I completely understand why politicians do it and I actually understand. But there are plenty of things we can do to change the way things are done but no one does shit. It's not as hard as most people think. Politicians walk the same streets as you and I. Don't forget that.

I've been somewhat fortunate to see the inside of politics, crime and the press. What most people don't understand is the most prolific and powerful crime in the world is blackmail aka extortion.

We see it all the time in the tabloids. Headlines focusing on who had slept with whom, which did what to which etc.

Politicians gain an office either allowed or elected. Once someone gets that office, here come the scumbags digging up shit on them. That happens in two ways, 1.) they dig up stuff to throw him off track 2.) they dig up something he doesn't want known that could harm himself, his friends, family or the public.

That's how the nasty game is played. As long as you've got some secret or a family member or friend has a secret that if exposed would do some hard, that's a leash around your neck. Remember the H Ross Perot campaign? Dude woulda won but somebody dug some shit up on his daughter. Fuck the people, he was more concerned about his daughter. See?

As for the press in this country it's OWNED by the intelligence communities, banks and gangsters. It sucks because we're supposed to have a free press not a 'fee' press.

Albeit some journalists are courageous enough to step to the plate, it's too often that we the public don't know about how fucked up we are until it's too late. Just look at all the shit we deal with now, that was considered 'stupid' or 'unreal' by the mainstream experts and journalists.

History: Here we are 100 years since the first recorded 'manned' flight. Just a few days or weeks prior to this achievement the mainstream 'New York Times' declared that it was impossible to achieve.

Let that be a lesson for ya.
