Newbies and TGPS!

With today's newbies flow, everyone is starting with submiting to tgps.
Because every fucking newbie is starting to post galleries and go no idea in hell wtf they are doing, it's next to impossible to make decent sales and get decent traffic by submitting tgps.
Why does every newbie starting with submiting to tgp? Do they think its the easiest way to earn money? If they do its WRONG. To make decent money from tgp gallery submission you need hard work, a lot of time and good contacts.
Its DEFENETLY not the easiest way to make money. What it is, is the easiest way to lose money and burn bw!
Free sites on the other hand are much less oversatured and a lot easier to get listed and make money.
When you are submiting free sites you will learn about SE and how it works. It will too demend a lot of time and determination.... but it's a lot easier to earn money with free sites than with tgp galleries.
Ive stopped submiting free sites 6 month ago and I'm still getting traffic and sales...

TGP is a good place to let the newbies congregate while a handful of people find their own traffic sources

Personally I've never done well using an already established method of making sales. Alot of trial and error will pay off when you tweak your own traffic and marketing systems enough to stumble upon something that works.

newbies start with TGP because there is talk of it everywhere, its the first thing they are exposed too, they dont realise that there are other options. People talk a lot about how much traffic the hun, worldsex etc gets and they think that they can just get a gallery on there and the $$$ will roll in.

I started with TGP's. You can still make bling from em.... it's called niche. Free sites are still the shit though, assuming you know more html than just loading frontpage.

I disagree about the galleries. They eat bandwidth! So ya better have the right sponsor and your design must be there.

Good points oracle, but let me add something to this.

In all honnesty people should start from using tgp's and submitting galleries. Most webmasters have NO fucking clue what the adult biz entails when they first start out. By busting their balls submitting to tgp's every day they learn the basics of advertising and how to suck virtual cock. When building a tgp and tweaking for months on end they learn what layouts are key, what makes surfers click, and what NOT to do with advertising methods.

They also get to see first hand what it's like to recieve submissions and will see what sells, if people submit the same layout to them for 6 months it must work right?. I say fucking with tgp's and galleries for a good 6 months is a great start. Beyond that if they still think tgp's and galleries is where all the money is then let them stay there and suffer. The smart ones will move beyond that and should get into freesites once they learn basic advertising from galleries.

After this point galleries should be seen as "bonus traffic" to be saught AFTER freesite work is done. I have made a post within another thread about this whole scenario. Look it up. It entails learning effectively how to advertise in freesites and apply that to the bonus gallery traffic. A person could seriously be pulling in 200 bones a day with freesites and galleries mixed together and other schemes outlined.

From there it's only a matter of time before freesite builders get curious abotu SE traffic from seeing google hits in their logs. From this step I won't go any further because it's somethign I care not to divulge as it "could" affect me as new competition.

Bottom line, new webmasters NEED to get their hands dirty in grunt work in order to learn work ethic and learn to advertise.
