Vegas hinted as Terror target

Where will this end? U.S. government officials said yesterday they believe some of the passengers boarding one of the three Air France flights from Paris to Los Angeles that were canceled due to security concerns this week might have intended to hijack it and crash land in Las Vegas.

The al Qaeda network has long considered Las Vegas to be one of its top targets for a strike because it sees the city as a citadel of Western licentiousness, U.S. officials said. Government officials said they have known for some time that al Qaeda is interested in striking at Las Vegas.

In response to these fears, Las Vegas was one of the cities where the Department of Homeland Security in recent days installed a number of outdoor air-handling sensors designed to detect biological pathogens that might be released by terrorists.

Come on people, like there are no air force bases in od near Nevada that couldnt scrambe a few jets within minutes to blow up any of course planes well before they were within any danger zone of hitting anything on the strip.

Biological agents thats a different story but the only time I remember that really being used by a terrorist group was in Japan, and there it was a crowded subway system so the pathogens were contained better in a small area, with tons of people, so the damage was easily done, releasing a pathogen into open space, that's a different story.

The SARIN that was used in Japan is a nerve agent not a germ I believe. Don't you guys understand that these guys get their rocks off everytime they see a thread or news article like this? Ignore the idiots. If you're afraid to die, order out for dinner and get over it. Sheesh.

There were also planes a short trip away from stopping 9/11 but the orders were never sent.

I call bullshit on this whole fucking thing. Al Qaeda has been reduced to pretty much nothing, and the only reason they got through once was because they caught the US off guard.

The danger right now seems pretty damn slim.

Yes there was!!!! I have watched several documentaries about that day, and they have had interviews with Air Force pilots and what they went through to get to those people. It was very emotional and left me with a feeling of pride to know those boys up there were on fire to get those MF. Please do not take away from their heroism because you do not like the government!!

Besides that, I believe that since the word is out about the LV terror attack it's not going to happen. They are terrorist!! They like to hit when its least expected. It's all over the news about Vegas so I seriously doubt they are going to do anything there, IF they even could.
