The Clash...Classic Punk Band or Hard Rockers?

I would say punk. Their first two albums, The Clash and Give Em Enough Rope kicked ass. Even their next two albums London Calling and Sandinista , though not as raw as the first two would still be considered punk IMO.

They were punk but just barely. Still kick ass stuff.

They had some punk in them....I remember way back when, they got in a fight with Motley Crue at an US Festival. I think Vince Neil got his ass kicked.

The Clash are sweet

They were punk back then. The meaning of punk has changed over the years though

Getting in a fight don't make them punk David Bowie use to fight in every pub around, he even lost an eye in one

david bowie never lost an eye he has two different colored eyes-

The Clash were more of a Reggae/Punk band
