For you....No offene but I would not give yu $3000 for 6 years based on your prior postings.
I would give SleazyDream 3 grand for a month though. -
No offense taken. I am just curious how some people go about buying space.Originally posted by AaronM

How important is buying space from someone who causes a stir vs. someone who has a ton of posts that sorta doesn't get "noticed" as much?
i.e. "Person 1" has 5,000 posts but isn't well known whereas "Person 2" has 2,000 posts but alot of people know who he/she is. (assuming they signed up at the same time, how would one go about "appraising" their sig. space)

Guestimate based on reputation, popularity, amount of posts and a bunch of other stuff like that?Originally posted by nap
how exactly do you determine the value of a sig whore?
(in other words: will the investment be worth it in signups and branding)/(bb|[^b]{2})/Comment

Association is also worth a lot. Being associated with well-known "players" adds to the reputation of a program.Originally posted by AaronM
Page views. How much attention does the person command?
Page views = sig views. More sig views = greater $$$/(bb|[^b]{2})/Comment

Post count is not a major factor in the equation. Yes, it does matter but not as much as recognition.
Take SleazyDream for example...People read his threads just because he started them. The subject of the thread is not always important either.
The reason he has a high post count is because people are naturally drawn to what he has to say. The same can be said for anybody who has 10,000+ posts.
People do not read my theads because I have 15,000+ posts...They read them because they care what I have to say. They may not agree but that only makes it for a more interesting thread.

I would have to agree there are peoples threads I do read even if it pertains to nothing I am intrested in or agree with. Though I am not drawn to what they promote cause I rather sign up to someone who post quality then someone who is popular though I would say most GFY don't see eye to eye with me on that.

It's not always about what YOU will promote though.
The truth is...It's all about branding. You may not promote QuickBuck but since you have just replied to me...and now I am replying back...Others will see their sig.
So....Even though you may not sign up...The name branding that you have just given QuickBuck is still there.
No, you can not have a percentage of my sig money.

Yup I agree. For me I have always thought number #1 to do is corporate branding and then market segementation of whatever your doing. And your GFY nic is a way of corporate branding yourself and to what your affilated with. Good post I agree.

The problem with me is that I signed up awhile ago but didn't start making posts until recently so my post count per day is low. Unfortunately that would probably lower the "value" of my sig. since most people wouldn't realize this this.
Make sense?
