Not to throw water on the celebration, so I'll say Congrats first, but having a child is a huge responsibility and undertaking.
Its funny how everyone seems to take it so lightly as if they just got a new car or something. Man having a kid and raising it is hard hard work. The hardest thing you'll ever do in your life.
Sorry to sound so father like, but since I'm way older and have been there done that, I just hope you two are prepared for this adventure and all the challenges involved.
Its the coolest thing you will ever experience, but you have to be emotionally, financially and mentally ready to handle it all. It costs about $1 million to raise a child now from start to finish by the way. Most people don't have any idea how much money it takes.
Getting married is an adventure in and of itself during the first couple years. You add having a child on that and I'll tell you start taking meditation classes now, because its not so easy keeping your wits, and staying calm, and not getting frustrated during the first 2 years which are the most trying.
