Your quote is not accurate. Kerry does not "support abortion" - he supports freedom for people to disagree and freedom for women to make their own choices about when abortion is appropriate.
He is pro-choice but he personally does not agree with abortion.
Isn't this exactly how Libertaians say government should be?
Just because Kerry has a personal belief about a complex issue does not mean he will try to make that the law.
